Side note - If you suffer from seasonal allergies like me, then do yourself a HUGE favor and go buy raw LOCALLY harvested honey from a farmers market or otherwise near you. It will also help you. The pollen in the honey collected from local flowers the bees help the body 'get used to' the type of pollen in the air when ingested. ( See, I told you, im obsessed with honey )

Apple Cider Vinegar

Where do I start? Theres so much information on this amazing, natural, wonderful - cheap - elixir on the internet already, but I thought id add my own 2 cents and share my thoughts on it too, As I have become - what a surprise - obsessed with ACV.

What is Apple Cider Vinegar?
ACV is an effective natural bacteria-fighting agent that contains many vital minerals and trace elements such as potassium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorous, chlorine, sodium, sulfur, copper, iron, silicon and fluorine that are vital for a healthy body.

Natural Apple Cider Vinegar is made by crushing fresh, organically grown apples and allowing them to mature in wooden barrels. This boosts the natural fermentation qualities of the crushed apples, which differs from the refined and distilled vinegars found in supermarkets. The brand I use is Braggs, because it is unfiltered, unheated, unpasteurized and 5% acidity. It contains the amazing 'Mother' of Vinegar which occurs naturally as strand-like enzymes of connected protein molecules. You dont have to go with the same brand as me, just make sure your ACV is unpasteurized, unheated and raw/organic.

Suggested dosage : You can get really creative with ACV, the traditional dosage of ACV is 2-3 Tsp of ACV in 8 oz of water 3x a day. Add honey to taste ( MANUKA Honey would be IDEAL !! )
You can make a wonderful vinigarette with ACV, Fresh garlic and Honey.. maybe then adding some herbs/sea salt to taste... im telling you, this vinigarette, not only great tasting but its a BOMB nutritionally wise - stay tuned for my review on humble garlic and how im totally bringing garlic back!

I wanted a healthy, fast, low fat, high fiber, medium protein snack that helps my digestive system. I found it. Im staying away from candy/protein/sugar loaded fiber bars ( like Clif bar ) that are packed with all kinds of crazy ingredients and for the most part - sugar alcohols, which tear my insides apart.. I will be reviewing the PERFECT protein bar very soon.. watch this space!

To be clear, this is not a protein bar. It is an easy, TASTY way to include more fiber in my diet which I so sorely needed. Infact many of us dont eat half as much fiber as we should.

It is better than a candy bar. Ingredients are FAR better for you than any candy bar - even those claiming to be good for you, like Clif bars. ( Ive compared )

I would never recommend anyone to eat an enormous amount of these or to rely on them in any way, we should be getting fiber from natural sources first, but it helps me be more regular and its a great 'emergency food' - often, when at work, I dont have time to prepare food, let alone step out...

Ive seen improvements in my digestion and appetite control ( fiber has made me feel fuller, longer )

Not a huge drinker, but I simply had to give props to this great cocktail shaker that my friend saw me use and fell in love with - opening the door to my true sentiment towards it : love!

Firstly, its huge. Easily make 3 possibly 4 good sized cocktails depending on glass size. The great thing is, you dont need much cocktail making experience to use this thing, it has pre written dose-marked recipes on the actual glass that are easy to follow. The lid has a very secure fit but i always hold tight when shaking. I keep the glass part in the freezer. Strainer is incorporated in the lid. Cheers!

As I wrote before, Its about taking control and putting better foods in your body that will strengthen and satisfy. Naturally. Im so sick of seeing all these drugs and over the counter preperations that claim to cure and maintain a certain wellbeing - wake up people, all the body needs is good whole foods, rest & excercise. This steamer is just another way I have taken control of how and what I eat. It is such a simple concept. Steaming food. Its not complicated. I throw vegetables in, put the timer on and get on with other things at home. Yesterday I slapped a huge cut of fresh salmon onto a sheet of foil, threw on some lemon slices, salt and pepper, and topped it off with some vegetables, wrapped the foil over the whole thing making a closed 'pouch' and put it in the steamer for 20/25 mins.. hey presto, filling, healthy dinner. Yay!

This probiotic goes beyond the common lactobacillus acidophilus-12 strains of probiotics. It actually restores the normal flora due to the type, amount and the base its in. Most are grown in cheap media--and processed quickly to market; these are from organic vegetables fermented for 5 years, so are more absorbable. I cannot praise this honey enough. Its great as a natural energy booster. It really helps my acid reflux. Its great at detering colds/sore throats. Its 100% natural and raw. I use manuka honey in my tea/coffee, and yields the same benefits ( the honey is unaffected by weather, heat or cold, although its recommended to be taken at room temperature ). Its great to use this honey the same way as regular honey, difference is, this stuff is a bit of a miracle in a jar. On cereal, toast, desserts.. you name it. This honey, like wine, gets better with age. I urge you to think again about one of nature's most available natural products to be used in your daily life. The reason some big corporation hasnt jumped on this and made a killing is because anone can be a beekeeper, so in their eyes, it is not a profitable product.

Simply the best gum ive found, for the simple reason that it contains the key ingredient - Bicarbonate Of Soda - that cleans/polishes my teeth and allows the mouth to produce more saliva which neutralize the mouth, throat and stomach acids after eating ( great if you usually have heartburn/stomach acid problems ).
Its sugar free, and also helps my throat due to the slippery Elm. My favorite flavor is Cinnamon. Love this stuff!
